Hey all.

Loaded the show into the theatre today... it's time for the announcement.

Forensic and the Navigators
Oct 2-Oct 5, 8:00 PM

If you're in the city, you should definitely drop by. No excuses (that I know (guitar riff)).

Fun story time? OK, here we go...

I woke up this morning... rolled over... opened my eyes. Looked at Jason's clock

11:30 AM

"HOLY SHIT!" I yell, and I jump out of bed, grab the clothes closest to my bed, and run out the door putting them on.

I continue to yell "HOLY SHIT!" as I grab my bag and run out the door, leaving my roommates wondering, I assume, what the hell is going on.

I was supposed to be at the theatre to load in at 10:00 AM. At this point, I am 1 1/2 hours late. I figure somebody would've called me (actually, probably about once every 5 minutes since 10:10) but my phone battery died the night before and I didn't plug it in, as I was going to be working all day anyway.

I ran out of the building, ran to 2nd Avenue, ran out into the street and stopped a taxi.

We get to Tisch, I pay the cab driver, I run up to the third floor of Tisch. The Lighting Designer sits on a couch. "Is Al in there?" I ask. She says nothing, only nods.

I run into the theatre. It is empty, except for Al closing up the booth. "Al," I say, now on the verge of tears, "I am so sorry... I'm so so sorry..."

She looks at me inquisitively. "What's wrong?" she asks.

"I'm so late, I'm sorry I'm sorry..."

"What time were you supposed to be here?"

"10:00!" I exclaim.

She shows me her watch. It is 9:50 AM...

Let's rewind, shall we?

When my alarm rang this morning, Jason began to pound on his clock believing that it was his alarm. He pushed many buttons in frustration, changing the time on his clock to 2 hours later than it actually was. So my alarm got turned off (by me, apparently, what can I say?), and when I woke up all I saw was Jason's clock.

Didn't grab my watch because I was in a hurry, didn't get my cell-phone because it was dead. I must have passed three stationary clocks (one in the lobby of my building, one in the lobby of Tisch, one on the third floor of Tisch) but was so intent on getting there as quickly as possible that I didn't notice. The cab didn't have a clock, damnit, I looked.

Anyway, I was there 10 minutes early. And load-in was great!
