I fell "victim" to the single greatest advertising campaign in the history of the world.

While sitting in the Tisch Common Room, I happened to notice a table nearly covered in videotapes. They were unlabeled, unmarked, left completely out in the open. The reel on the cassette was very short-- I had many guesses as to what it could be. I was sitting in a film school.

I just watched it. Got a guess?

It was the video from The Ring!

Nothing on the reel said anything about the movie, I know what it was because I chanced to see an ad for the film. Do you see what this means? They left them there for people to take, and then those same people are gonna bug the hell out as soon as they see... you know... it's brilliant!
