Darnit.

For the nth time (where n is a rather large number), the following happened:

1) I wrote a paper for a class the night before it was due.
2) I was embarrassed at how horrible the paper was, believing it to be my worst writing ever, and turned it in ashamedly.
3) The professor absolutely loved the paper. The quote this time was "Your best yet: Well-written and insightful."

So should I stop writing stuff that I like? Am I that far off-base in judging my own writing?
