On this date in 1941, Britain declared war on Bulgaria. Hungary and Romania declared war on the United States. India declared war on Japan. Trying a bit overzealously to get in on the fun, the Netherlands inadvertently declared war on the Netherlands. And then everybody laughed and laughed. And then started bombing each other!

Albert II of Austria was born on this date in 1298. Then, Albert VI of Austria was born in this date in 1418. There's only one reasonable explanation, right? Albert VI was Albert II reincarnated. Alberts III-V were obviously some sort of sub-par incarnation of the true spirit of Albert. All up there, sullying the good name of Albert Especially IV. That guy was a jerk.
Anyway, once VI came along everything was good again. Until VII. Oh, VII.
